Bhoomi Kindergarten is a Waldorf Inspired Kindergarten in Kochi Edappally area. A Waldorf – Steiner approach is an alternate education system that focuses on the whole child development, with focus on the importance of learning through daily rhythm, arts, and free play in a natural setting.
At Bhoomi Kindergarten, we create a timeless space for children to do their sacred work: play. Our alternate education method focuses on the following approaches to create a slow paced environment in the midst of our high speed world.
We are really happy to let you know that we have decided to start First grade at Bhoomi starting in June 2018. Contact us for further details.
We now offer Parent & Child program on Mondays and Tuesdays. We welcome 2 – 3 year olds and their parent (mom, dad, grandma etc) to join our class activities.
If you’re a homeschooling family, Bhoomi welcomes you to come and join us for 1 or 2 days a week for activities such as cooking, crafts or toy making, and more!

Bhoomi treehouse was made during the summer school session, thanks to th the help of Volunteers from Australia and UK as well as Bhoomi parents. Now the kids has another place enact their play and imagination in the coming school year. Click here to see all the volunteers at Bhoomi last year.
Fee Wurster & Zara Macbeth who went to Waldorf Steiner schools in Europe visited Bhoomi children for 2 weeks in January 2017. We are grateful to Fee chechi and Zara chechi for spending time with us at Bhoomi and joining us for the farm visits. Special thanks to Zara chechi for showing us some of her acrobatic skills. Coming soon ~ Join us on Bhoomi Outing Day
Come join us on our monthly outing day! Last year, we've taken Bhoomi children to outings that takes them closer to nature. Some of the places that we've visited last year includes the Kodanad Elephant Reserve, Local farms, Bienale Aspenwall, Mangalavanam Bird Sanctuary, Marine drive, Tripunithura Hill Palace and local paddy fields for rice harvesting.
